Now Romney says “Syria is Iran’s route to the sea.”

Cool story, Mittens.

Can’t blame him for not knowing.  It isn’t a foreign place he can ship jobs to or store his money.

Even Forbes Says Romney’s Plan Would Raise Taxes on the Middle Class by $1 Trillion ‹ I Acknowledge Class Warfare Exists

questionall:

The headline from Forbes says it all: If Romney Cuts Taxes For The Rich By 20%, He Will Have To Raise Taxes For The Middle Class By $1 Trillion.  This is FORBES people … FORBES.  And they’re being generous.  I think the math is even simpler than they make it out to be … according to the Tax Policy Center – Romney’s plan will raise taxes on the middle class by $3.7 trillion HERE.  But the bottom line is this … EVERYONE … conservatives and liberals alike recognize that Mitt Romney is lying about his tax plan.  And yet – Americans across the country are going to vote for him simply because he has an R next to his name and he’s not the black guy.

They write HERE:

First the $5 trillion in tax cuts which reduces the income tax on the wealthy by 20%($2.5 trillion), eliminates the Alternative Minimum Tax($700 billion), repeals the high-income payroll tax($300 billion) and hands out a juicy $1 trillion tax cut for corporations. They’re like people you know. Nice clean math. Nice big figures with a lot of zeroes.

Then, comes the problem, the headache, or maybe its the head fake. No identification of a single loophole that will be closed. No concrete exposition about raising the capital gains tax on rich people. Our friends at the Democratic Party headquarters have estimated the savings for “ending all tax benefits for the wealthy” at $1.7 trillion; eliminating ALL corporate tax benefits to offset the corporate tax cut- $1.1 trillion and then another $1 trillion of middle class tax benefits to pay for the middle class cut=- another $1 trillion.

Imagine the chaos, the bitterness, the social unrest that would occur. But, then realize these measures only get back $4 trillion. There’s another $1 trillion to go.

Let’s just look at all the people and institutions who have called Mitt Romney’s plan a complete fantasy:

  • Paul Krugman says Romney “is just faking” his plans HEREin other words – Romney is just making sh-t up.
  • The Salt Lake Tribune endorsed Obama over Romney saying “Romney is willing to say anything to get elected” HERE.
  • A large margin of economists prefer Obama over Romney for just about everything HERE.
  • The Congressional referee – the Joint Committee on Taxation says Romney’s plan is impossible HERE.
  • The former McCain economic adviser and current chief economist for Moody’s says the arithmetic “doesn’t work” HERE.
  • Politifact says Romney’s claim that 5 independent studies corroborate his math is “mostly false” HERE.
  • A Fox “journalist” actually says “How can you not tell the people these facts” HERE.
  • An independent study by the Brookings institution says Romney’s tax plan isn’t mathematically possible HERE.
  • Factcheck.org says his math is impossible in Romney’s Impossible Tax Promise.
  • I’ve given a very simple explanation that Romney’s plan will in fact cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans HERE.
  • The Tax Policy Center says Romney’s plan is a $5 trillion tax cut which would give anyone making more than $1 million a year at least an $87k tax cut HERE.
  • Bill Clinton says Romney’s tax math is impossible HERE.
  • Fox’s Chris Wallace calls out the Romney campaign for their math HERE.
  • The Council on Foreign Relations says “there is a $1 trillion hold in Romney’s budget math” HERE.

Who else do you need to verify this plan to understand the only possible scenario is an increase in taxes for the middle class; the math is simply impossible.

And there you have it!  Straight from the asses mouth.  Romney means more taxes for those who can least afford it.

Mitt Romney’s Easy Five-Step Approach to Foreign Policy

Mitt Romney’s easy five-step approach to foreign policy:

Step 1: Get the facts wrong.
Step 2: Undermine long-standing relationships with your allies.
Step 3: Frequently highlight your lack of experience.
Step 4: Assemble a team of ideologues committed to endless war.
Step 5: Mistake your enemies.

Thank you Ann for clarifying that your husband, Mitt, is indeed a liar « Margaret and Helen

I have no idea what is in his heart. I am just a fat, old broad who speaks too much and probably should keep some of her opinions to herself. When Mitt says: I respect and will protect a woman’s right to choose… Roe v. Wade has gone too far… I am pro-choice… I am pro-life… I never really called myself pro-choice…When I am asked if I am pro-choice or pro-life, I say I refuse to accept either label… I assume he is a liar. But I actually don’t know for sure he is a liar. He could just be a dumb ass who is confused. Maybe I should just call him honesty-challenged. At least that way, one of his robotic sons won’t haul off and hit me… or shave my head like his father does to those who disagree with him.

I’ve read some of the comments here. I get it. I drank the Kool-Aid so why listen to me? I am just a dumb liberal who doesn’t watch Fox News and therefore hasn’t a clue. You shouldn’t listen to me.

Instead you should listen to someone who really does know what is in Mitt’s heart. Let me introduce you to the woman who has been washing his underwear for 43 years. Well I am assuming that of course. She could have outsourced the laundry duties. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Ann Davies Romney:

“Mitt has always been a pro-life person, he governed, when he ran, uhmm, as pro-choice…”

That would be an exact quote. It gets a little complicated after that because Ann finds it hard to make that shit sound truthful, but basically she said that he was pro-life while he campaigned as pro-choice . Then he got elected. Once elected, Mitt realized that he couldn’t actually govern as a pro-choice because, in fact, he was pro-life. So then, and only then, he let everyone know via an editorial in the newspaper that, in fact, he was exactly the opposite of what he campaigned. He was Pro-No Choice. Of course, now he is back to needing women to vote for him so he is willing to be pro-choice-ish again. It’s confuing, I know. Ann has always had a problem separating her whites from her colors.

Let me see if I can wash Mitt’s underwear better than Ann. Mitt misled the voters. He campaigned one way, knowing he was exactly the other way. Unlike Tagg, Ann has no problem calling Mitt a liar… I’m sorry… She has no problem that her husband is a dumb ass… Sorry again… I meant to say that she has no issue with her husband being less than honest. Settle down there Tagg.

Ann may not have a problem with her say anything husband, but I do. I have a problem that the man running for the Republican candidate for President is willing to lie to 100% of the women in America. After all, it’s one thing for him to not care about 47% of the population, but we are now talking about 50.4%. He’s running out of people to be honest with.

I have a problem that he has no issue with misleading voters. I am proud to be one of the 47% (give or take 3.4%) who will never be on the Romney’s Christmas card list. Yes, I checked… just in case you are not familiar with the religion, Mormons do celebrate Christmas. Other than the whole getting your own planet when you die stuff, they actually aren’t as unusual as many want to make them out to be. For instance, Mormons believe in the Ten Commandments too… but clearly the Romney’s are a little lax on that Ninth one.

I am no longer afraid of Tagg Romney despite my lack of Secret Service protection. Your dad is a dumb ass liar. Bring it on, son. I mean it. Really.

The number of Florida counties reporting suspicious voter registration forms connected to Strategic Allied Consulting, the firm hired by the state Republican Party to sign up new voters, has grown to 10, officials said, as local election supervisors continue to search their forms for questionable signatures, addresses or other identifiers.

After reports of suspicious formssurfaced in Florida, the company — owned by Nathan Sproul, who has been involved in voter registration efforts since at least the 2004 presidential election — was fired last week by the state Republican Party and the Republican National Committee. The party had hired it to conduct drives in Colorado, Nevada, North Carolina and Virginia.

In Colorado, a young woman employed by Strategic Allied was shown on a video outside a store in Colorado Springs recently telling a potential voter that she wanted to register only Republicans and that she worked for the county clerk’s office. The woman was fired, said Ryan Call, chairman of the Colorado Republican Party.

Samuel L. Jackson tells voters why it’s time to wake the fuck up.

Sorry, my friend, but there’s no time to snore.
And out-of-touch millionaires just declared war
On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay.
We’re all on our own if Romney has his way.
And he’s against safety nets; if you fall, tough luck.
So I strongly suggest that you wake the fuck up.

Ted Kennedy Mocks Mittens of the Day: Michelle’s speech — and her dress! — were lovely as always, but the scene-stealer of the DNC’s opening night was the late Ted Kennedy. The Dems’ video tribute to the Lion of the Senate included footage of Kennedy skewering Romney in their 1994 U.S. Senate debate:
Romney: “I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country.” Kennedy: “I am pro-choice, my opponent is multiple choice.” Kennedy, in a speech shown later: “Now he’s for family leave, now it looks like he’s for a minimum wage, now he’s for education reform, and if we give him two more weeks he may even vote for me.”
RNC Chair Reince Preibus immediately tweeted that the decision to resurrect Kennedy was “classless.” But The Washington Post’s Ezra Klein called BS in a tweet of his own: ”I, for one, am shocked that Democrats would inject politics into a video about politician Ted Kennedy during a political convention.” What say you? Was the Dems’ use of a dead Kennedy in poor taste or totally legit? [chicagotribune]
