President Obama reminds Wisconsinites that in-person early voting begins Monday, October 22nd!

From October 22nd through November 2nd, you can vote early at your municipal clerk’s office.  Still need to register?  You can take care of that at the same time.

Leaked Audio Captures Romney Asking Employers To Tell Their Employees How To Vote | ThinkProgress

Newly-discovered audio from a conference call in June captures Mitt Romney asking business owners to urge their employees to vote for him.

Romney, speaking on a call to the very conservative National Federation of Independent Business, tells a group of business owners that they should “make it very clear” how they feel about the candidates. The audio, discovered by In These Times, also captures Romney telling the business owners to “pass… along to your employees” how their jobs might be effected by who wins in November:

I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections. And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope — I hope you pass those along to your employees. Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well.

When you know the majority of citizens, don’t support you, you go for bullying and coercion.

Not surprised.

Samuel L. Jackson tells voters why it’s time to wake the fuck up.

Sorry, my friend, but there’s no time to snore.
And out-of-touch millionaires just declared war
On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay.
We’re all on our own if Romney has his way.
And he’s against safety nets; if you fall, tough luck.
So I strongly suggest that you wake the fuck up.

Don’t boo—vote!

I know I’m preaching to the choir (cos the people who feel otherwise have already unfollowed me :-)

But please, vote if you can. Volunteer to be a poll watcher or a taxicab on election day. Do as much as you can.

BREAKING VIA AP: “A federal court has ruled against a Texas law that would require voters to present photo IDs to election officials before being allowed to cast ballots in November. A three-judge panel in Washington ruled Thursday that the law imposes “strict, unforgiving burdens on the poor” and noted that racial minorities in Texas are more likely to live in poverty.”

All we have to do is replace Obama. We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don’t need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don’t need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate. Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become President of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.

Also, Mitt Romney says the “worst” part of Obamacare is that “the federal government will get between you and your doctor.” Just like Republicans do with patients and doctors at Planned Parenthood, right Mitt?

As long as billionaires are essentially funding Mitt Romney’s campaign with $10 million donations, Barack Obama can fundraise with as many fashion designers and movie stars as he pleases. Because being bought by billionaires is not the same as getting help from Anna Wintour and Sarah Jessica Parker. Sorry, but it’s not.
